I came to the field of education by way of years of working in higher education, in an outreach program that gave me a variety of experiences in working with educational technology, online learning and graphic design. My interest in education, learning by design, and the psychology of creativity led me to pursue doctoral research in creative teaching and creative thinking skills. While my current research interests revolve around varied topics in education, creativity, and technology, I am particularly interested in creativity across disciplines, and how personal and professional creativity influence the practices of exceptional teachers and leaders in education.
I have also taught a variety of courses in higher education (online, face-to-face, blended, and in overseas programs) in areas of educational psychology, educational technology, design thinking, creativity, and research-based methods.
